How to find quality bathroom renovation in Woodstock, GA ?🤷♂️
Hired by a podcast listener? Is that how people find bathroom renovation CONTRACTORS NOW?!🤷♂️
Well, I guess SO!
Viewing online content like videos, podcasts, photos and blog posts—- stuff that comes off of a screen—can be an awesome way to find solid, competent people for home improvement.
We started our podcast on a whim, not really knowing what would come of it. We were hoping to give people an insight into the who, what, where, how —of the bathroom renovation business.
I think homeowners wonder WHAT and WHO they’re going to get when they hire a contractor. What to expect. So, we show the public some of it.
We’ve been working in Woodstock, GA for over a decade now and part of our bathroom renovation business is creating online content, as a service.
We want people to see and hear for themselves and make an informed decision. On the podcast we speak unscripted so you can hear our thought process and be involved in our logic behind how we work and think.
So, 10 episodes into the podcast , we were pleasantly surprised to have a homeowner call us who was a listener. He wanted us to bring our bathroom renovation methods to his house in Woodstock, GA.
Jason programming the Ardex thermostat for the heated tile floor.
After he filled out our form and we spoke with him on the phone, it was odd for me to stand in front of a person that had watched me on a screen.
It’s still weird that people first see us on a screen. It’s the farmer inside of me, connected to nature and the natural world....THIS TECHNOLOGY! RIGHT?!
Anyway—
We had a short meeting to talk about the plan in person and the gears went into motion.
We left the house with our small scheduling fee before any contracts were signed . That’s how sure this homeowner was of us. We’ve been making content for the internet for almost TEN YEARS. It’s easy to figure out that we do a nice job…
No warming up period in the start of the working relationship, I suppose, because of the internet. Because of moving (still) pictures on a screen, voices coming from speakers— and a contractor willing to hit RECORD.
We quickly got down to business improving the house, in a smart long lasting way...
After our initial meeting -
✔We e-mailed the proposal. A couple months later we started the project. ✔
The INTERNET WORKED.
Competent. Capable workmen. Working on your HOUSE. All the parts to be successful, engaged.
On this project we’re at the peak of our working life. We still are.
If you’ve made it this far and you’re local; you want your bathroom renovated—-Fill our our Proposal Request Form.
If you’re a reader—-Leave a comment. Is this good? Is it terrible? I’m Ben. Nice to meet you.
WE GO TO WORK - HERE’S AN OVERVIEW OF A COUPLE FEATURES and COMMENTARY.
👴First thing is first, we demo the bathroom. Admittedly, Jason and I are getting TOO OLD AND TIRED for this part, we gotta get a couple of youngsters that are competent and careful! (If that’s you and your’e local e-mail ben@hamiltontilega.com)
Plastic, drop cloths, air cleaners…we are the CLEANEST TEAM.
Then, we have a considerable amount of carpentry to do.
We took out a good section of this subfloor due to the rot from the original leaking shower.
We use the BUILT WITH FOAM system to shim our walls and get them FLAT, SQUARE and PLUMB and we leveled this floor with Ardex Liquid BackerBoard.
The key to a proper flooring installation is to have the subfloor prepared properly. Nice and flat because big tile does not bend.
We offer a FREE HEATED FLOOR with the purchase of a master bathroom. Our homeowner took advantage of that. We installed Ardex Flexbone Heat.
I was pretty amazed by the SMART SHOWER FIXTURE…it was all digital! I have not seen that before!
Another cool feature was that we used EPOXY GROUT. If you hate GROUT, EPOXY is what you want to use! It’s a two-part mix and it dries hard as a rock, which doesn’t allow DIRT to force its way in! No matter how dirty it gets, you can always restore it to its original look…unlike cement grout.
HERE’S some IN ACTION pictures!
📢The great thing about this bathroom is that it’s definitely BUILT TO LAST.
Beautiful custom cabinets in this bathroom in Woodstock, GA.
The beautiful cabinet set up was built by DRW Cabinets in White, GA and we love working with Danny who does amazing work and treats our customers very well.
We work for, what some would call, PICKY people. I SAY they’re people who have a specific VISION and PLAN for their bathroom renovation. They want people who can deliver on what they want…
Jason, the project manager, is the kind of guy that LOVES it. He’s gotten great at talking out a challenge/solution with our homeowners. We like a project with drawings or a homeowner to speak with every morning (minimum) That’s how you get a nice bathroom, if you’re the type of person that wants something clean and nice — if you’re quite particular.
That’s a benefit of experience in field.
🚀🚀What we do isn’t rocket science. 🚀🚀
We’ve been at this quite a while now so a lot of what we do now is second nature—one step at a time, one task after another, in a certain order.
Adaptation thought out and expected—but with a conscious plan.
It was interesting to hear the homeowner mention he liked how we laid it out in the open on our podcast. We work from 9am-3pm and charge what we do because we have families that we’re raising. We do the physical work and also run a small business with all that entails. He knew the ins and outs of our business and what to expect from us. We talk about it on the podcast.
He mentioned he liked that we were forthcoming and explained our thought process out for him to hear. This homeowner was just a real straight shooter and a supporter of our small business and of us generally.
I’ll have fond memories of this project because I was working for someone who cared and acknowledged that what we do isn’t easy—-they really respected our skill and what we did. They were super appreciative — we’re appreciative and thankful for them and to be part of a great project.
We were responsible for planning (with our homeowner), framing, tile installation including the shower, the heated floor, acquisition of all material and installation of the hard surfaces (counter tops, bench piece and curbs). We were also responsible for the cabinet and mirror installation as well as installation of the toilet. The homeowner hired his own painter and plumber.

Woodstock, GA tile bathroom remodel and renovation
A recent master bathroom made with a experts touch. This was an enjoyable collaboration between Jason and the homeowner. We were all on the same page for the entirety of the project. We try to keep our process simple. From the first phone call, I asked a few questions to determine if we were a good fit for the homeowner’s needs. This particular client found us on Google and looked at our online content pretty extensively. I loved that so it was a great start to the relationship. We had a couple meetings, sent a detailed bid, figured out what we were going to do and put them on the schedule. They ordered their cabinet and tops, they handled the painting and we took care of the rest. That’s the advantage that we offer. Jason is a four year trade school grad, so he can handle pretty much anything we run into and not to a minimum standard, fly by the seat of your pants style, “good enough from my house” but by the book. Above standard, built to last. So, as a tile company, we seek to guide you. These people trusted our expertise and we listened to their needs. In cooperation we were able to put the pieces together and attain an amazing finished product at a great value for their money, adding distinction to their greatest investment and most personal space, their home.
The Five Star Google review:
“You owe it to your project to consider Hamilton Tile. Out of all the companies that we received quotes from, the professionalism, experience, and cost effectiveness provided by Hamilton could not be beat.
Our master bathroom remodel turned out absolutely perfect, and Hamilton Tile exceeded our every expectation.”
Chattahoochee Glass Doors with the amazing installation.
Notice the wall tile pattern is “wrapped” throughout the entirety of this shower. Details!
Subway tile is popular right now. Many different sizes and colors to pick from. I don’t foresee it ever going out of style. We use extremely high end building material. Silicone caulk, the best grout and thin set…Why not? Tile is a permanent finish, but it’s long lasting qualities depend on proper installation and the utilization of quality building material. With 25+ years of experience and a specialist’s mindset, we know what works and what doesn’t.
